The Final Report

Dear Friends,

The news is in after finally meeting with my attorney.

It is not guaranteed that I will be out in half time as there is no early release program for sentencing of driving under suspension. It is possible however, that the prison could decide I'm not worth a bed and send me packing. So I'm hopeful in this aspect but I have been advised not to get my hopes up.

There are little over crowding issues for the women's prison and maximum security is out of the question. During assessment they will match me with other inmates like myself in minimum security. So, a room filled with little white girls from the burbs (not quite, but they will put me in with like minded individuals.) It's also possible that this is just something the prison says they do when really, they don't give a fuck about where they stick me. I'm more inclined to believe the latter.

Apparently, house arrest is a federal agreement. The state doesn't offer it. The case I knew of the fellow with copyright infringement was handled by the FBI and that was the magic word. FBI. No such luck in my case. They were prepared to offer me a split sentence. I would serve half time one month, and the other half another time. I figure I'll just get this crap over with. I'm sick of sitting around stewing over it.

Well, then I suppose this is goodbye dear cyber friends. I will of course be back to harrass you around April 1st. Keep an eye out for my return journal entry.
