The State of CT vs. Sheriden Jansma

The following represents events taken place between April 24, 2007 and January 20, 2009 concerning the state of Connecticut vs. Sheriden Jansma:

April 24, 2007 - Arrested for DUI in white Honda Civic, Middletown CT, Route 9, Exit 10, 2:00am. BAC 2.9
Applied for Accelerated Rehabilitation. Granted. 15 Alcohol Classes at Rushford. License suspended 8 months. Applied for a Work Permit. Granted.

November 23, 2007 - Incident of DUI, Driving under suspension in blue Dodge Ram Conversion Van, Durham CT, Route 147 (Middlefield Rd) 12:00 am. BAC 2.1
Avoided arrest via ambulance to New Haven Hospital.

April 4, 2008 - Arrested for DUI of November 23, 2007
Hired Attorney Jake Donovan of Cromwell CT. DMV suspended license for 20 months. Appeared in court once a month for 9 months on continuances. The Commonwealth Group requires a 4 phase rehabilitation process including a weekend "retreat-ment". 8 intensive outpatient sessions. Quarterly behavioral assessments. License will not be reinstated until all phases are completed taking no less than one year's time.

January 20, 2009 - Most recent court appearance. I've been offered a pre-trial deal. In the event I accept, this case will never go to trial and sentencing will ensue February 24, 2009. End of story. Should I decline, the case goes on to trial and, as I am undeniably guilty, the book will not only be thrown at me but it will sprout human appendages and brutally rape the shit out of me. So, the deal is as follows:
DUI 1 - 2 days jail, no felony conviction.
DUI 2 - 2 days jail, no felony conviction.
Driving under suspension - 30 days jail, no further suspension beyond what is deemed by the DMV.

Grand Total: 34 days jail time beginning February 24, 2009 in York Correctional Institution for Women of Niantic, CT.

These have been the facts. How I feel about them is another story entirely.
