Mohegan Sun

Jackie Brown, a friend of Cut Me Deep, had a brilliant idea a couple days ago. She said we should get as many people as we can to go to the Mohegan Sun Casino and Resort on an early Tuesday morning. Since she happens to be on vacation this week, we totally did it.

We had planned on being there at about 9 or 10 in the morning yesterday, but, we had a few snags in the plan and didn't end up getting there until about 12:30. It kind of sucked getting there so late, but, it turned out to not really matter too much. Making the drive with Jackie and I, was Scat. Our friends Brian and Heather were already there waiting for us. Sadly, that's all the people we could gather in such a short time, but it was all good.

When we got finally got there, we met up with Brian and Heather and got a drink at one of the floor bars right next to all the slots. It was AMAZING how expensive the drinks were! We got 3 for 25 bucks after tip. Oh well, it's all for the cause, right? It turned out that Heather had to babysit her neighbors kids or something, so her and Brian had to leave around 1:30, so we needed to get some hardcore gambling in and QUICK. We found the closest roulette table we could find and began the chaos.

As it turns out, everyone sucks at roulette but me. I think Scat lost 80 bucks or something like that. I think Jackie lost somewhere near $40 as well. I, on the other hand, ended up with $30 extra. The sad thing, is that I was def up $100 for a while, but kept betting anyway. After that it was time to do Jackie's favorite game, Black Jack.

I am not one for card games, so I just watched for a while. It seemed that Scat and Jackie were doing well at the table, so I headed off to a different roulette table. I know what you're thinking... "you're an idiot Fc! You're just going to lose all your money!!" NOPE, you are WRONG! I definitely made lots more money, and I was happy. But theeeeeen I decided to go back for a THIRD time, and THAT's when I lost a lot of it. Either way, I ended up with $130 extra. So, I started off with $100 and walked out with $230. I think that's pretty ok. As far as everyone else goes, I think Jackie ended up breaking even and Scat ended up losing $45. All in all, money-wise, it ended up all good.

Either way, I actually happy with Mohegan Sun this time. Usually, I lose every time I go there. That's why I like Foxwoods better. I always seem to win there no matter what. But, I guess my view has changed with my recent winnings. The ONLY thing that really sucked was the food that we had at some sports bar. It was REALLY expensive, and not filling. But, the beers were 24 onces, so I guess that works out. In fact, they even had beers there that were 64 ounces!! But, I figured since I had to drive that it might not be a great idea.

After the drive back, we all hit my house and met up with Jenni, Scats woman, and chilled out for a bit. It was a goooood time. Especially hearing about Jenni's imaginary Hippo, that apparently knows Kung Fu, and will kick my ass if I try to touch him.

This day was a well needed break from REAL life. Props to Jackie for thinking of it!
