I am sooo upset!
I was just suppper exited, because they are remaking Child's Play and Nightmare on Elm St.
I am a huge Freddy fan, only to find out that ROBERT ENGLUND WILL NOT BE PLAYING FREDDY?!!
Whattttt? How are they going to re-do the movie without him?
Michael Bay is doing the remake, so you know its going to be awesome, I mean look at Transformers!

Then again, familiarity doesn’t breed fear. The character of Freddy is as beloved and as watchable today as ever, but is he still scary? Not really. Create a new Freddy, with a new actor and new make up effects and hold back on the reveal, and you could have the first truly terrifying Nightmare in a long time
NOOOO Now this movie pissed me off. It will not be a Freddy movie..
It is rumored that Billy Bob Thornton will be playing him -- kill me.

As much as I love Billy Bob, I don't think he would make a proper scary movie villain. Either way, I am very interested in seeing how it comes out :)

Jackie Earle Haley (The dude that plays "Rorschach" in 'TheWatchmen')
is cast as Freddy. I was lucky enough to check out the actual house they filmed in the movies a few weeks back when I went up to L.A. It was creepy, and awesome.
Their filming right now in Chicago at some high schools, and it's set to release in mid-April 2010. I think it's gonna be dope, but we'll see.
